Accelerating Young Talent

 
 

Don't use the label "junior" in your company.

It is a disservice to those employees and the entire company.

It is diminutive and condescending, lazy and meaningless.

It drags everyone down.

In contrast, some of the best companies accelerate the growth and development of those lower in their hierarchy.

They lift people up instead of putting them down.

Some of the best companies don't even have a "ladder."

They have a lattice or framework for how everyone can continue to grow in their career.

If the youngest talent learns as much as possible, as quickly as possible, and educates older colleagues, this creates an amazing feedback loop.

Consider:

  • Acceleration, Development, Mentorship Programs
  • Company Resources
  • A knowledge and file-sharing portal
