Social Media and Stress

  • Go through your phone apps and delete the ones you don't use, or that don't make you feel good
  • Similarly reduce digital and physical clutter
  • Turn the phone and other screens off
  • If you come across a negative profile on social media: hide, mute, report, and/or block it
  • Be sparing with your emails
  • Remember that people are on the other end of digital screens
  • Plan your quiet and calm moments
  • Think about the triggers of stress in your life, and the systems that you have built to combat stress
  • Take a walk in nature
  • Consider what, if anything, more social media consumption of different channels and forms will do for your life
